Cypress is a 100% black-youth owned Non-profit organisation operating in Maluti-A-Phofung municipality in Free State. 

The organisation was established in 2010, but was registered with the Department of Social Development in 2015.

The organisation have shown success in most of its projects, including Leadership training, Examination preparations and Tutorials in schools around Makoane village.

Preamble

We, the legitimate members of Cypress, hereby establish an 
organization that shall uphold our ideas and commitment to 
assisting and grooming school learners to achieve academic and 
social excellence, empower the youth, and ensure an educated 
community through its teenagers and youth. 

1. Vision 

To create an environment and atmosphere convenient for learners to learn and boost their social 
esteems, transform the youth into future leaders, and further encourage participation by the 
youth in local matters that affect their daily lives. 

2. Mission 

To cooperate with schools in organizing motivational sessions, extra-classes etc. in order to help 
learners improve in their academic and social lives and further cooperate with local councillors 
and municipalities in organizing youth forums, and other youth empowerment programs.
